Save the tricks AND treats for the humans

Here is a good article/link/reminder from the ASPCA about all the potential - even toxic - hazards to your furbabies that will be lurking this Halloween. (might as well keep it handy since Christmas, Valentines and Easter are not far behind…)

• Chocolate is toxic. Period.
• If there is one piece of candy in the bottom of your purse, your pooch is guaranteed to find it.
• Candy wrappers are just as, if not more, hazardous than the contents if ingested. Just ask any owner who has had to dish out $2,000+ to have a foreign blockage removed from their precious pet’s stomach. (Same goes for plants and costumes).
• Lots of visitors will be showing up at your home. Be sure you have proper I.D. on your pets should the open door be too tempting.
