Wottle to be a guest on Leading Off
July 8, 2008 - Erik Brown
This Wednesday evening, July 9th, at 6:00 PM you’ll want to be sure to tune in to Joe Shuta’s sports talk show, Leading Off on WVAM 1430 AM. Joe’s guest this week will be none other than Dave Wottle, the gold medalist in the men’s 800 meters at the 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, you may remember Wottle as the guy who raced with a white golf cap. My May 28th post included a link to a YouTube video of Wottle’s incredible come from behind victory. In case you missed it, or if you just want to view it one more time, click here.
