| | My bad! XC corrections...October 31, 2008 - Erik BrownYou would think that the parent of a former AA boys’ at-large PIAA State XC qualifier would be the last person to forget to recognize this year’s District 6 at-large qualifiers for AA boys and girls. But that is exactly what I did. For that I am truly sorry. The District 6 AA girls’ field included 145 runners. The AA boys’ field had 167. So, to earn one of the precious few at-large spots is truly a significant accomplishment. Without further adieu then: Leah Anne Wirfel, Forest Hills, 18:26 Hannah Miller, Laurel Valley, 19:34 Katrina Woods, Mount Union, 20:09 Alyssa Taddie, Homer Center, 20:11 Shannon Yarger, Penns Valley, 20:21 Alisha Jordon, Penns Valley, 20:24 Rachel Rajter, Westmont Hilltop, 20:46 Lauren Simcox, Phillipsburg-Osceola, 20:53 Emiley Stapleton, Bellwood-Antis, 21:26 Jackie Beisel, Penns Manor, 21:28 Jim Spisak, Bishop McCort, 16:19 Andy Luksik, Bishop McCort, 17:24 Max Penrose, Laurel Valley, 17:25 Alex Woodrow, Marion Center, 17:36 Aaron Keeney, Huntingdon Area, 17:48 Jason Dean, Westmont Hilltop, 17:49 Abram Nace, Lewistown Area, 17:53 Chad King, Bishop McCort, 17:55 Phil Steinberg, Central Cambria, 17:57 Jonathan Makoczy, Forest Hills, 17:57 As I mentioned in my last post, C.J. Weimer from United was the odd man out in the boys’ AA race. He finished in 17:58. A quick look at the last three times listed above shows you what a battle took place in the sprint to the finish line with four runners vying for the final three qualifying spots. Best wishes to all of these athletes for a great race at states on Saturday! | EZToUse.comBlog Photos![]() |
