Music man needed sensitivity
January 19, 2009 - Neil Rudel
I'll leave our Steeler coverage to our able team of Buck Frank, John Mehno, Teri Enciso Albarano and blogger Ray Eckenrode.
And I trust that you're enjoying their comprehensive efforts.
While pulling for the Black & Gold's drive to "one for the other thumb," one thing disturbed me Sunday: It was in very poor taste to blare the music almost the entire time Baltimore running back Willis McGahee was down on the turf late in the game with what appeared to be a serious injury.
Someone in the front office should have directed the person at the music controls to knock if off.
Imagine the indignation of Pittsburgh fans if the same thing had happened in Baltimore ... when one of the Steelers was motionless on the turf.
