| | Where's Buck?January 28, 2009 - Neil RudelThis is kind of like the exercise of "Where's Waldo?" that kids do. And I'm a kid at heart so here goes ... Super Bowl Media Day usually provides a panorama of shots of the media descending on the players. It's especially interesting when you have a local representative covering the game. Ours is sports editor Buck Frank, who has covered the Steelers for eight seasons and is working on his second Super Bowl. I think I've spotted him in the picture we ran today on Page B1. It's a little distant, but I think he's wearing a dark shirt and light pants. Then again, so are 300 others. I'm also looking for the WTAJ tagteam of Mike Fink and Nick Foley. The Post-Gazette's Ron Cook, I'm sure, will be by the pool. While I'm not sure I can locate Buck from Media Day, the closeup of the guy to the left of Steeler running back Gary Russell sure looks a lot like Pete Banko. In the meantime, wherever he is, enjoy Buck Frank's coverage of Super Bowl XLIII, in the Mirror and here on altoonamirror.com.
