What a moment for former Curve owner Chuck Greenberg.
Along with former Major League Baseball great Nolan Ryan, Greenberg was awarded ownership of the Texas Rangers on Wednesday following a contentious court battle and a successful auction bid.
Greenberg's ambition, his ability to assemble investors, his vision, presence, business skills, communication and leadership have been on display back to his days of owning the Curve (2002-08).
Under the aggressive marketing of Greenberg and former GM Todd Parnell, the Curve reached their high-water mark in 2006 when they were named the top franchise in all of minor league baseball and averaged more than 5,600 per game.
But Wednesday, clearly, represents Greenberg's finest hour. Congratulations, Chuck. Here's some video on his reaction.
