Big Ten's new logo looks terrible; a child could do better
December 13, 2010 - Cory Giger
How much money did the Big Ten waste on this weak, boring logo?
Seriously, I need to change professions and get in the logo biz, where apparently you can charge tens of thousands of dollars for your so-called "expertise," only to come up with something that a 12-year-old could do on a home computer in a few minutes.
I'm OK with the division names of Legends and Leaders. I don't love them, but I don't hate them, either. I'm in the minority, though, because a lot of people do hate them.
But this logo is hideous, and the Big Ten should be embarrassed by it.
It hasn't been reported yet how much the logo cost, but I checked with some sources and was told a typical price range can be upwards of $25,000-$30,000.
I'm guessing they're going to look to add North Carolina now so they can justify the logo color.
