Another sad football story

You have to be a long-term Steelers fan to remember Willie Daniel, a defensive back from the 1960s.

As the linked article shows, these are tough times for Daniel and his family as he's nearly completely disabled at age 74. Thankfully, his care is being covered by an NFL program that helps former players.

There's no way to know if his dementia is a result of his years in football, but the circumstances are all too common among ex-players. It's another sad story that has unfolded long after a player's last game.
