The one good thing about Sunday's Chargers-Steelers game was the seafood chowder in the press room.
But you don't care about that.
I thought Ben was having problems with the extra protective equipment early in the game and wasn't especially accurate with passes. Phillip Rivers didn't have a very good game, but the Steelers didn't offer much resistance.
I have no idea why Mike Tomlin didn't go for the two-point conversions, and I couldn't make any sense out of the explanation he offered, either. Like he said, it was a bad game for coaches and players. Nobody did much right.
All that said, they're pretty much locked into the second wild card spot, provided they don't blow it. The way things have been going this season, that's a distinct possibility.
