Subaru of America Inc. recently donated a 2009 Subaru Forester to the Southern Alleghenies Chapter of the American Red Cross at the chapter’s annual breakfast on May 29. The vehicle, delivered by Matt Stuckey of Stuckey Subaru, Hollidaysburg, is one of 30 that will be donated over six years to Red Cross locations across the nation. Accepting the donation on behalf of the Red Cross were Rudy Plummer, chapter chairman, and Jane Gable, executive director. “Subaru is very pleased to provide vehicle and other support to the American Red Cross on both a regional and national level,’’ said Tomohiko Ikeda, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru of America. “The partnership is a good fit, given the needs of the organization and the capabilities of Subaru all-wheel drive vehicles. Corporate citizenship is important to Subaru, and we take great pride in our ongoing support of local communities to make them great places to live and work.
