Marshmallow fudge

November 12, 2008
Submitted by Linda Rager of Hollidaysburg

4 cups sugar

1 cup whole milk (no substitutes)

1 teaspoon vanilla

25 large marshmallows, cut in half

1 cup real butter (no substitutes)

13 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 ounces unsweetened chocolate

13 ounces milk chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Mix sugar, milk, butter and vanilla. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.

Turn off heat, add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add chocolates one type at a time and beat until melted. Spread into a large, deep and buttered cookie sheet or a 12-inch by 16-inch by 1-inch cake pan.

Note: Since the chocolate chip packages are now only 11.5 ounces, add extra milk chocolate chips from an additional package of chips. The recipe makes about five pounds of fudge.
