Lynn heading to Carnegie
MUNHALL - Drusky Entertainment will present country music legend Loretta Lynn, with special guest Chuck Mead, for an all-ages show at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Carnegie Library Music Hall.
Lynn, immortalized on film in the Oscar-winning "Coal Miner's Daughter," is due to release her latest album this year. It will be a follow-up to her 2004 smash "Van Lear Rose."

Globetrotters coming to BJC
UNIVERSITY PARK - Coming off the most successful year in franchise history, with 62 box offices records and more than two million smiling fans, the Harlem Globetrotters will bring their 2010 World Tour to the Bryce Jordan Center at 7 p.m. Feb. 23.

Photos show landscapes
BEDFORD - The Bedford County Arts Council will exhibit photographs by Laura and Mike Jackson through Nov. 27.
The photographs in the exhibit feature landscapes in Bedford County and south central Pennsylvania.
The Bedford County Arts Center is in Anderson House, 137 E. Pitt Street. The center is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.

SAMA shows more Goldfarb
LORETTO - The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Loretto will present the exhibit "Shirley Goldfarb: The Later Years" from Nov. 20 through Feb. 20.
The exhibition features 27 large-scale works created between 1955 and 1979 by Goldfarb and runs in conjunction with the exhibit "Shirley Goldfarb: The Early Years," which highlights the first five years of the artist's career, currently on display at SAMA-Altoona. Goldfarb, an Altoona native, became an internationally known artist while living in Paris in the 1950s and '60s.
To celebrate the exhibitions, SAMA will host receptions at its Loretto and Altoona museums on Dec. 12. The Loretto reception will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will be followed by the Altoona reception from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The cost for the Loretto reception is $18 or $15 for members, while the cost for the Altoona reception is $12 or $10 for members.
