Most leads doo wop act
UNIVERSITY PARK - "Doo Wop Rocks!," starring "Happy Days" vet Donny Most and a host of popular doo wop singers, comes to Penn State's Eisenhower Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. May 1.
Tickets are $77 for a VIP seat (in the first 10 rows of the orchestra level), $62 for an orchestra or grand tier seat and $52 for a balcony seat.
An after-concert meet-and-greet session with the performers is $20 per person.

BCP presents dinner theater
The Bedford County Players will perform Jack Sharkey's comedy, "I Take This Man", as a dinner theater at the Carriage House of Bedford.
The show will be presented today and Saturday, Feb. 19 and 20 and Feb. 26 and 27. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the show will follow at 8 p.m.
The cost of the buffet dinner and show will be $28. Tax and gratuity are included in the cost. Call 623-1174 for reservations.
Juniata redoes famed comedy
HUNTINGDON - "Big Love," a dark comedy, will be re-interpreted as a dance-centric production as the Juniata College Theatre Department presents their version of a Greek classic comedy. The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Feb. 20 and Feb. 25-27 at the Suzanne von Liebig Theatre in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata campus.
"Big Love," is an updated version of "The Supplicants," by Aeschylus.

PSU professor exhibits work
UNIVERSITY PARK - A series of photographs by longtime Penn State Professor of Art Jerrold Maddox will be on display through the spring semester in the Eisenhower Auditorium Conference Room on the University Park campus.
The photos are part of the work "Plainfield Photographs," a series of 12 images captured on May 25, 2009, along Plainfield Road near the Ferguson Township village of Pine Grove Mills.
The conference room is open for Artistic Viewpoints and Kids Connections sessions one hour before most Center for the Performing Arts presentations.
Dance team raises money
STATE COLLEGE - The Whiplash Dance Team will presents "RAISE" at 8 p.m. Feb. 26 at The State Theatre.
Penn State's Whiplash Dance Team is hosting the first annual RAISE performing arts benefit show. The proceeds for this year's performance will benefit the John F. Carothers Scholarship Fund. This fund has been set up in memory of John Carothers who passed away last year due to complications from multiple sclerosis. Mr. Carothers, a graduate of Penn State University, was passionate about higher education. This fund will set up scholarships that will be awarded to students attending Penn State University.

Theatre will perform
STATE COLLEGE - The Penn State School of Theatre's University Resident Theatre Company will present "Sunday in the Park with George," Feb. 16 through March 3 at the Citizens Bank Theatre, in the Penn State Downtown Theatre Center, 146 S. Allen St. The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and 18 (preview performances) and Feb. 19-20, 23-27 and March 1-3.

Roller disco visits venue
PITTSBURGH - "Xanadu," the critically acclaimed Broadway show, will bring its first national touring production to Pittsburgh's Benedum Center for six shows Feb. 23 through 28.
Originally a feature film starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, the musical will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23-25, 8 p.m. Feb. 26-27, 2 p.m. Feb. 27 and at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28.
