Easter Seals Central Pennsylvania is recruiting teams to compete in the 24th annual Office Olympix, to be held March 4 at the Bavarian Hall, Altoona.
Teams from local businesses throughout Blair County raise money for the opportunity to go head to head with each other in six office-style fun events.
This year's teams will compete in events such as Going Green, Schobel Toss and Bowling, which uses life-size bowling pins.
Medals will be awarded to the first-place team in each event, and trophies will be presented to the top three overall scoring teams.
Special category awards for "Most Original Team Name" and "Most Original Team Outfit" also will be awarded.
The registration fee to compete is $450 per team of six, which comes to $75 per player.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top three fundraising teams. Teams raising $750 or more will have a chance to compete in the Keller Engineers main event, a fun new game called "Hello, Dollie," to win more prizes.
Registration starts at 5 p.m., and the events will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and a commemorative Office Olympix T-shirt will be provided to all participants and volunteers.
Money raised through Office Olympix will be used to help local children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Sponsors include Always a Party Rentals, Imler's Poultry, Keller Engineers, IS2 Technologies, WTAJ-TV and HOT 92 and HOT 100.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
