UNIVERSITY PARK - Be part of the WPSU studio audience as Penn State Public Broadcasting and Acoustic Brew Coffeehouse present Irish fiddler Kevin Burke and guitarist Cal Scott for a St. Patrick's Weekend Celtic concert, broadcast live on WPSU-TV & FM on Saturday.
The concert and live television broadcast starts at 7 p.m. Popular local act Simple Gifts will open the show with some of the finest arrangements in folk music.
The headliners start at 8 p.m., at which time the concert will also go live on WPSU-FM.
This is the first-ever live concert from the WPSU studios. Tickets are $14 in advance and $16 at the door and can be purchased at the Acoustic Brew Web site, acousticbrew.org/ online.
This broadcast is part of WPSU's March Fundraising campaign. TV viewers and FM listeners alike are encouraged to call and contribute in support of community based programming, especially music.
