ROARING SPRING - The Blair County Respiratory Disease Society will offer a Doctor Mom workshop from 5 to 7 p.m. May 18 and 25 at the Roaring Spring Library, 320 E. Main St.
Doctor Mom is an interactive workshop that enhances a mother's parenting skills in caring for the health and safety of her infant or toddler.
Mothers learn how to use basic medical knowledge to provide compassionate care, enabling them to handle the majority of medical situations that may arise as their children grow.
The program is funded by Operation Our Town and the Altoona Rotary Club.
Participants must attend both sessions to receive a certificate.
