June 27, 2010
The Altoona Mirror

Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger and the Altoona Curve will present a pregame Princess and Pirate Party, a special event to benefit Janet Weis Children's Hospital pediatric services, at 4 p.m. July 11 at Blair County Ballpark.

Participants can enjoy two hours of princess and pirate activities before the evening's game - including a treasure hunt, princess hairdos and nail-painting, talk-like-a-pirate lessons, face-painting, crafts and more. Snacks will be provided by Panera Bread. The princesses and pirates also will be announced at the game and will lead the seventh-inning stretch. Sunday night fireworks will take place after the game.

Tickets for the Princess and Pirate Party are $8 each and include a general admission game ticket. All tickets must be purchased by July 8.

For more information or to order your tickets, call the Children's Miracle Network office at 943-8887.
