Mount group looking for art
CRESSON - The Mount Aloysius Art Alliance will host a juried exhibit of landscape art from Jan. 17 to mid-March at the Wolf-Kuhn Gallery on the Mount Aloysius campus.
The landscape art can be originals done by the artist, photos, antiques or collectibles. All artwork and photos must be properly framed and ready to hang.
The art on display will be juried and must be submitted from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at the gallery. The artwork will be juried at 7 p.m. on the same day.

Supergroup plays Altoona
The post-hardcore supergroup D.R.U.G.S. will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at The Archway Center, 401 Fifth Ave., Altoona. The opening bands for the show include Eyes Set to Kill and New Medicine.
D.R.U.G.S. is led by former Chiodos lead singer Craig Owens and also features current or former members of the bands Story Of The Year, From First To Last, Matchbook Romance and Underminded. The group will release their as-yet-untitled debut album next year.
Eyes Set To Kill is signed to Breaksilence Recordings and has been a part of the last two Vans Warped Tours. New Medicine is a rock band signed to Photo Finish Records.
Tickets for the show are $11 and $13 and are available at the door.
Classic pianist comes to BJC
UNIVERSITY PARK - Classical musician Jonathan Biss will make his Penn State debut in a solo recital at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 in Penn State's Schwab Auditorium. The concert includes a composition by Pulitzer Prize-winner Bernard Rands, written specifically for Biss and co-commissioned by the Center for the Performing Arts.
Tickets are $27 for adults, $10 for University Park students and $17 for those age 18 and younger. Third Day heads to area
JOHNSTOWN - Multi-platinum-selling Christian rock band Third Day will perform at 7 p.m. March 26 at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
Tenth Avenue North will perform as the show's opening act.
Tickets are $25 each (plus fees) and are available at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at Ticketmaster.com. VIP packages, individual tickets and group ticket sales are available.
The VIP package includes guaranteed seating in the first three rows and a pre-concert back stage pass to meet the bands with both autograph and photo opportunities available.
Yanni to play Jordan Center
UNIVERSITY PARK - Legendary world music instrumentalist Yanni will perform at 8 p.m. March 29 at the Bryce Jordan Cen-ter.
