Cirque show comes to BJC
UNIVERSITY PARK - Cirque du Soleil has announced that its latest arena show, "Quidam," will be performed Sept. 14 to 18 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The eight performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 through 17, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and 17 and at 1 and 5 p.m. Sept. 18.
"Quidam" had its world premiere in Montreal in 1996. Since that time, the production has toured on five continents and been experienced by millions of people. In December 2010, "Quidam" embarked on a new journey, performing in arenas throughout North America.
Tickets range in price from $35 to $80 for adults, from $28 to $65 for children ages 12 and under and from $31.50 to $67.50 for military members, seniors and students.

Ballet debuts on PSU stage
UNIVERSITY PARK - Ballet Theatre of State College, a division of Performing Arts School of Central Pennsylvania, will premiere "The Snow Queen" at 7 p.m. June 4 and 3 p.m. June 5 at Eisenhower Auditorium, on the Penn State University Park campus.
"The Snow Queen" is based on the Hans Christian Anderson story and follows Gerda on an adventure to save her beloved friend Kai from an evil goblin's spell.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and students and $15 for children ages 12 and younger.

Paisley leads music festival
PITTSBURGH - Heinz Field launches the inaugural Steelers Country Music Festival on Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29, with an all-star lineup featuring CMA Entertainer of the Year, Brad Paisley.
The Avett Brothers will kick off the weekend with a performance at Stage AE on May 27. Weezer will conclude the weekend with a concert, also at Stage AE, on May 29.
The festival will be the premiere of The Brad Paisley H2O II World Tour presented by Chevy on May 28 with special guests Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Jerrod Niemann and a few surprise appearances.
A second stage will feature emerging new stars Brent Anderson, Edens Edge and Sunny Sweeney.
In addition to the music stages, the H2O II World Tour will bring back the "Water World Plaza."
The water festival will include the Chevy H2O FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, slip-n-slide and other various water games.
Tickets to The Brad Paisley H2O II World Tour are priced at $99.50, $79.50, $59.50 and $29.50.
