Work is under way for the LongHorn Steakhouse at 333 W. Plank Road at Logan Plank Crossing.
LongHorn anticipates that the new restaurant will open in October.
The chain, which operates more than 350 restaurants and employs 18,000 people, expects to hire team members from the surrounding area beginning in September.
Best known for its atmosphere and flavor of the American West, the 6,200-square foot restaurant will employ up to 85 people and seat more than 240 guests.
