LEADING OFF: The Curve were rained out Sunday night at Binghamton as showers from Tropical Storm Irene blanketed much of New York. The game was scheduled to begin at 6:35 p.m., but the decision to call it off came very early at shortly after 11 a.m.
SAFE AT FIRST: Since the Curve and B-Mets do not meet again this season, Sunday's rainout will not be made up. That will leave Altoona with 141 games during the regular season.
STEALING SECOND: Altoona visits Bowie for a four-game series beginning tonight. RHP Aaron Pribanic (9-9, 4.09) will pitch for the Curve against Baysox RHP Zach Clark (9-8, 4.97).
ROUNDING THIRD: CF Starling Marte has 165 hits this season and needs one more to tie Nate McLouth's franchise record of 166 set in 2004.
HEADING HOME: The Curve return to Blair County Ballpark on Friday for the final homestand of the season.
