UNIVERSITY?PARK - Akeel Lynch, one of Penn State's top-two remaining recruiting targets at running back, was at Saturday's game taking an unofficial visit, BlueWhite Illustrated's Ryan Snyder reported on his publication's website just before kickoff.
Lynch, from Buffalo, is committed to Boston College, but he made that pledge to the Eagles while under the impression Penn State was no longer interested in him.
There were some even bigger jewels from the junior and sophomore classes in the crowd, though. New Jersey defensive linemen Greg Webb and Dejaun Drennon, linebacker Buddy Brown and offensive lineman Brendan Mahon, Virginia linebacker E.J. Levenberry, New York quarterback Caleb Scepaniak, Erie Cathedral Prep quarterback Damion Terry and Wilkes-Barre G.A.R. defensive end Shakir Soto headed the list of 2013 prospects, according to BWI and Lions247.com's Sean Fitz.
Snyder also reported that big-time sophomore running back Marques Little made the trip with Brown.
Current Lion commits J.J. Denman, Brian Gaia and Austin Johnson were reportedly attending, as well.
