'Wonderettes' returning to CLP
EBENSBURG - Cresson Lake Playhouse will present "The Winter Wonderettes" from Dec. 2 through Dec. 4 at the Cambria County Court House, 200 S. Center St.
The production, a sequel to CLP's summer production "The Marvelous Wonderettes," is under the direction of Gina Volpe of Altoona, who will be making her directorial debut at Cresson Lake Playhouse.
The musical will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 3 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4.
The story follows the star quartet of the first production - friends Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy - as they entertain guests at the 1968 holiday party at Harper's Hardware.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students under age 18 and proper I.D. Tickets are available by calling the CLP offices at 472-4333 or at the door.
Rise Against tour to visit Penn State
UNIVERSITY PARK - Chicago rockers Rise Against have announced the first leg of their 2012 tour which will include the only Pennsylvania performance at 7 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Bryce Jordan Center. The opening acts for the concert will be A Day to Remember and The Menzingers.
Tickets for the show are $39.50 for general floor admission and $32.50 for reserved event level seats will go on sale at 11 a.m. today.
