LEADING OFF: The Curve are now 4-3 in games played on Thursdays, and Thursday is the only day of the week in which Altoona has a winning record.
SAFE AT FIRST: The win against Bowie improves the Curve's record to 8-8 in the month of May. The eight wins matches the team's win total for April when the team went 8-14.
STEALING SECOND: INF Kelson Brown saw his eight game hitting streak come to an end. Though he reached base once via a hit by pitch, Brown went 0-for-3 in the contest.
ROUNDING THIRD: Thursday marked the first time SS Brock Holt was in the Curve's lineup since May 11. Holt appeared in 30 of the first 43 games, but sat out four in a row before starting and batting second against the Baysox. He went 0-for-4 in the game.
HEADING HOME: The Curve head back to Peoples Natural Gas Field today after a road trip in which they went 3-4. Altoona kicks off a seven-game home stand against Erie at 6:30 p.m., and the first 1,000 fans 14 and under get an Al Tuna headband.
