Evelyn K. Beach, 84, Martinsburg, formerly of Woodbury, died Monday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.
She was born in Hickory Bottom, daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Frederick) Kensinger. She married James C. Beach on May 8, 1948, in York, and he survives.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra K. Beach; and a brother, Donald G. Kensinger.
Evelyn was a 1945 graduate of Morrison Cove High School. She retired from New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., and she was a member of Woodbury Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed knitting, reading and traveling.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Woodbury Church of the Brethren, Pastors Larry Graybill and Janet Sell officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
