William H. Brown Jr., 77, Colver, formerly of Portage, died Friday. He was born in Portage, son of the late William H. and Iva (Burkey) Brown. Surviving are his second wife, Velma M. (Lloyd) Brown; four children: Louise Norrell, William and Allen Brown and Bonnie Megrenne; two stepdaughters: Valerie and April; and 22 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Constance L. (Diehl) Brown; a son, Edward Brown; a brother, James; and stepdaughter, Anna. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. funeral service Monday, July 23, 2012, at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home PC, Portage.
