HOLLIDAYSBURG - The St. Bernardine's Monastery Community Gardens will hold a Summer Bounty Festival and a yard sale on Saturday at the C4C Center at 793 Monastery Road, just off Route 36, near Newry. The event will be held regardless of the weather.
The yard sale starts at 8 a.m. No early birds.
The annual picnic starts at noon. Food will be served from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public
There will be activities for the family and kids, a tour of the gardens and an opportunity to learn more about the project. Bring your friends, a comfortable chair or blanket and your own dish, utensils and water bottle to help us be ''green.'' Veggie dishes are welcome.
