Prosecuted, tried and convicted by the media and a washed-up FBI director's opinion combined with an incompetent Board of Trustees.
No trial by jury as granted by the Constitution, just a rush to judgment.
How deep the hatred/jealousy was for Joe Paterno, even with the NCAA?
Why? I don't know. If he actively covered this up, then I am wrong. But who among us really believes the Freeh report is 100 percent accurate? Shouldn't we wait until the trials play out to get the whole truth?
The only concrete evidence we have is that the trustees paid $6.5 million for Freeh to come out and say they had no involvement in a cover up.
If administrators were truly running the university roughshod and the trustees did not know what was going on, shame on them, and they should be resigning in droves.
Fat chance of this occurring.
I would hope there would be more integrity than this on all sides. I guess that is a thing of the past. I guess that the media can talk anybody into anything, even trials without juries.
How sad is this? "Let's blame it all on the old guy." He is gone anyway.
I am a very deeply disgusted alumnus, and how proud I was to be an alumni.
