Joe Paterno's statue seems to be the golden calf that a certain group of people just can't quit dancing around.
His actions as well as his inaction in the Sandusky scandal will be his legacy.
The lack of sensitivity to what Sandusky did under his nose while some still consider him a hero provokes anger elsewhere as well as here.
Given the damage Sandusky, Paterno and others did to Penn State explains why they were fired and should not be worshipped as heroes.
It's time to say "goodbye Joe, you gotta go," and let these dancers find somewhere else to dance.
Perhaps the PSU Thon would be the place, and they could still be Penn State proud.
