LEADING OFF: A day after being acquired in a trade, RHP Kyle Kaminska made his Curve debut Thursday. Kaminska threw two scoreless innings out of the bullpen and had three strikeouts.
SAFE AT FIRST: Trenton completed a three-game sweep of the Curve Thursday. It's the first time the Curve have been swept since they lost three straight to Akron on June 8-10.
STEALING SECOND: Since CF Robbie Grossman was traded to the Astros organization last Tuesday, Curve manager P.J. Forbes has used a few different players in the leadoff spot - Grossman's old position in the order. Drew Maggi has been the Curve's leadoff hitter in the last two games, and he's combined to go 3-for-11.
ROUNDING THIRD: The Curve now head to New Britain for a three-game set. So far in 2012, the Curve are 2-1 against the Rock Cats.
HEADING HOME: Former Curve Aaron Thompson will be facing his old team in the series opener tonight. Thompson - who was 4-7 with a 5.16 ERA in 28 games for the Curve last season - is 3-6 with a 5.81 ERA for New Britain this year.
