Barbara C. Smith, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012.
She was born in Altoona, but lived most of her life in the Akron, Ohio, area.
Surviving are a brother, Jeffrey A. Smith; two sisters: Jean M. (John) Kurtz of Uniontown and Robbin L. Hayes Smith of New Philadelphia; her dog, Joey; her cat, Sweetie Pie; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Smith; her mother, Audrey Keller; and her stepfather, Jacob "Jack" Keller.
Barbara was a 1962 graduate of St. Mary's High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Parish and was employed as a photographer for Pixie Portraits, Expressly Portraits and Kmart.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, in Akron, Ohio.
Interment was made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.
