Richard L. Rickabaugh Sr., 60, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at Somerset Hospital.
He was born in Altoona, son of Emanuel C. and Florence (Pretola) Rickabaugh. He married JoAnn Mertiff, and she passed away Oct. 17, 1985.
Surviving are a daughter, Christy (Greg) Ray of Tyrone; a son, Richard L. Jr. of Altoona; a grandson, Scott Alan Petrock (Ciera) in West Virginia; and four brothers: Emanuel (Susan) and Harry (Esther), both of Altoona, Stan and fiancee, Dori Jordan, of New Kensington and John (Mary Jane) of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fredrick Sr.; and a sister, Regina Nichols.
Richard was a 1970 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He enjoyed motorcycles and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
