Deborah C. Allen-Smith, 56, of 21468 Blooming Valley Road, Meadville, passed away Friday at home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William P. and Rita A. (Gority) Allen.
Surviving are two children: Alene D. Smith and Zebdiah J. Smith, both at home; five brothers: Paul Richardson, Sean P. Allen and wife, Linda, Michael E. Allen and wife, Cricket, William P. Allen and wife, Mary, and Joseph F. Fornwalt and wife, Kimberly, all of Altoona; her former husband, Peter O. Smith of Meadville; 14 nieces and nephews; a great-niece; and two very special friends: Rachel Pasikoski and Quintin Buttolph, both of Meadville.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, William C. "Itch" Fornwalt.
Deborah was a 1974 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 1986 graduate of St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at Polk Center, Franklin. She had previously been employed at St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie, and as a surgical nurse in Meadville.
Deborah was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville. She enjoyed reading and watching QVC. The greatest love in her life was her children.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. memorial service Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, Father Marc Solomon, pastor of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, officiating.
