Ralph Stephen Fresh, 57, Altoona, died Sunday morning in Pittsburgh.
He was born in Altoona, son of John J. and Dolores J. (Kearns) Fresh. He married Cynthia Marie Rickabaugh on June 21, 1975.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Rachael L. Detwiler and husband, Scott R., of Williamsburg; a son, Brian S. and fiancee, Jesse Baker, of Duncansville; his parents of Altoona; a brother, John of West Chester; and a sister, Denise Miles of Altoona. Also surviving are his favorite dogs: Bear, Baxter and Taylor.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Tim, Mike and Billy; and a sister, Debra Trude.
Ralph was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He retired as a carman from Norfolk Southern after 39 years of service. He enjoyed tube radios and crossword puzzles and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.
At Ralph's request, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
