A 40-year-old Logan Township man died Saturday night when the dirt bike he was riding crashed with a vehicle on Homers Gap Road.
Brian S. Stacey of Homers Gap, an electrician, was pronounced dead at the crash site, near the intersection of Falling Leaf Lane, about 11/2 miles west of Grandview Road.
Stacey was heading east at 8:12 p.m. when his dirt bike crashed into a vehicle that John Ebersole, 57, Homers Gap, was driving west, Logan Township Police Chief Ron Heller said Sunday.
The impact of the crash, Heller said, knocked Stacey off his bike and his body struck the passenger side of Ebersole's vehicle.
Investigating officers secured assistance at the crash site from Altoona Police Department Cpl. Dan DeAntonio for a traffic reconstruction report. Blair County Deputy Coroner Paul Kerns and the United Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the site, Heller said.
Mauk & Yates Funeral Home in Juniata is handling funeral arrangements. Details are to be announced in Tuesday's Mirror.
