Richard "Dick" Koontz, 64, Hopewell, died Tuesday. He was born in Marble City, son of William and Ruby (Eller) Koontz. Surviving are his wife, Emily (Hall); four children: Kristan Barton, Richard Jr., Daniel and Mark; eight grandchildren; and five siblings: Lucille Dodson, Dorothy Stiffler, Jean Ziviello, Phyllis Schroth and Ralph. He was preceded in death by a grandson. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at St. Paul's Reformed Church, Pastor Gary Sams officiating.
