Where’s toughness?

September 19, 2012
The Altoona Mirror

Here is an example of the local judicial system getting "tough" on child molesters, according this statement from an article in the Mirror:

A Claysburg man charged with possible sexual abuse of a young girl and the beating of a young boy was sentenced to a minimum of three months in the Blair County Prison.

Ricky Gerald Bryant II, 29, of Bedford Street, Claysburg, will be given credit for time served, which is about two months, meaning he has another month to serve on the sentence imposed by Blair County Judge Elizabeth Doyle.

That is sure some rough time to serve a whole three months. That Judge Doyle is one tough cookie. I hope the victims feel that justice was served on their behalf. This is just about the most disgusting miscarriage of the legal system that I have ever seen. Hopefully the victims did not have to be present as the judge slapped their abuser on the wrist.
