Dorothy L. "Dot" Parks, 83, The Lutheran Home of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Greenwood, died on Saturday at home.
She was born in Grazierville, daughter of Clarence and Esther (Carper) Watte. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred D. Parks.
She is survived by two daughters: Betty Lou Bowers (Chris) of Altoona and Debra K. Bougher of Flinton; a brother, Donald Waite of Springville, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Danielle Wilson, Denise Bougher, Jeremy Bowers and Adam Bowers; and three great-grandchildren: Derek Wilson, Corie Shawley and Joselyn Bowers.
Dot worked for Super Shoes, Sylvania, Blair Senior Services and Altoona Area School District Transportation.
Dot enjoyed family, camping and bingo.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2012, at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, 328 Fifth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Pastor Sharon Erb officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery.
