3 cups white sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2/3 cup water
2 cups canned pumpkin or fresh cooked pumpkin
Combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl, stirring after each addition. Pour into three loaf pans (7 1/4-by-3-by-2 3/4) and bake for approximately 55 minutes or pour into two loaf pans for approxiately 70 minutes at 350 degrees. Bread is done when wooden toothpick comes out clean.
