We believe Richard Flarend is the best candidate to represent the 79th District for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. His moderate views and strong work ethic make him just what this area needs.
He sees the need to eliminate wasteful state mandates and impractical policies. He is willing to listen to both sides and make the tough decisions to do what is best. He is open-minded and not under the influence of any special interest group.
Many have concerns with the budget especially the punitive and severe cuts in education. Flarend is a father and an educator.
He sees the failures and shortsightedness of the approach that "everyone must pass the same standardized test" in his classroom. He also has experience with and appreciates the value of a vocational education.
He supports the need for our children to be able to develop their talents to the fullest.
