Ellen M. Diehl, 81, Duncansville, died Thursday evening at her home.
She was born in McKee, daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (Burket) Reilly. She married Francis P. Diehl on April 24, 1954, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry, and he died Aug. 4, 2001, having shared 47 years of marriage.
Surviving are four daughters: Deborah Ann Baer and husband, Brad, of Cascade, Md., Susan Bickle and Shirley Stoltz and husband, Randy, all of Martinsburg, and Karen of Hollidaysburg; four sons: Glenn, Donald and wife, Tina, Kevin and fiancee, Sherie, and Nathan, all of Puzzletown; 14 grandchildren: Glen Jr., Santana, Ellen, Terry and wife, Angie, Steven and wife, Cortney, Jason and Piper Diehl, Josh Bickle, Janelle Warhacz and husband, AJ, Ryan and wife, Alyssa, Jay and JoAnna Stoltz, close granddaughter Angel Horon and husband, Rob, and Kristopher Rhodes; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by four sisters: Rose Clifford, Lorraine Young, Jean Johnson and Janet Meehan; and three brothers: Ben, Vincent and Edwin.
Ellen was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a vigil service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry, by Monsignor Anthony B. Little. Committal will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Newry.
Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's school or church.
