Alice Leiden's letter to the editor "Vote for principle" has simplified this entire election to one moral issue.
Although I agree that human life is a gift that should be protected, it has no place in politics.
The pulpit is the place for this issue - not government. The laws of pro choice will never be overturned due to the lack of morals of this country and their selfish leaders.
We should be praying to change the minds of pregnant women; not laws. It doesn't matter who you vote for; it is sadly here to stay.
Making this the deciding factor of who we vote for office is dangerous to this country. In Leiden's eyes and the Catholic Church, we should vote for any idiot regardless of his qualification, as long as he is against abortion. If voting on one moral issue, you might see a Bush as president again.
