I am writing in support of Richard Flarend for the 79th House seat. There are many reasons that Richard is the better choice for our area. The most important in my opinion is public education.
Richard will be a strong advocate for public education. He is a professor at Penn State Altoona, and his wife teaches for the Bellwood-Antis School District.
He understands that public education is a strong part of what makes the U.S. great. His opponent is in favor of dismantling public education, which I believe would be devastating to Pennsylvania as well as to our country. There is no evidence that charter schools are better than public schools.
Put our children and our future first; please vote for Richard Flarend on Nov. 6.
