As a senior citizen, I'm for Democrat, Richard Flarend. His opponent does not support any programs that help seniors. In his computer essay dated Aug. 21, 2006, McGinnis stated:
"Article three concerns state grants (let me repeat: stolen taxpayer money) for senior citizen transportation. Sometimes it seems like the entire purpose of government in Pennsylvania is to rob the young to give to the old.
"sNo wonder this state is losing so many young people and is becoming disastrously top-heavy when we speak age demographics."
Youth has a lot of advantages, like being physically independent and being able to have a job and a car to get around. When you are on a fixed income or can no longer drive, you depend on the transportation for seniors.
Please, please don't let John McGinnis take away our senior buses, mobility and independence. Vote for Richard Flarend for General Assembly.
