School districts accept money from the federal government to subsidize their lunch programs. So kids are given food that ends up in the trash can.
Lunch tables are now devoid of salt shakers; a level of government intrusion that boggles the mind. After all, it's for the children's own good. Only the federal government knows what's best for our own children's nutrition.
So let's put the feds in charge of our health care. That way we can be fed whatever brand of "cure" they deem appropriate.
Let's see what procedures end up in the trash or off the table for us. After all, a government panel knows what's best for our health.
The amount of power we're willing to abdicate to others is equal to the amount of control they have over us. Unfortunately this intrusion is quickly creeping into all aspects of our lives.
