Name: Noah Davis
High school: Bellwood-Antis
College choice: Seton Hill University
Other colleges considered: Rochester, Chicago, East Stroudsburg, Carnegie Mellon, Wheaton, Dickinson, Shepherd, Haverford, Assumption, Williams, Stone Hill
Why I picked Seton Hill: "Seton Hill University has a strong academic tradition in a liberal arts setting. The coaches work hard to develop players' individual skills, promoting a team game, and their program is on the rise. I am looking forward to playing in the PSAC against such competitive programs as IUP and Slippery Rock.''
Greatest high school achievement: "Being named to The Associated Press Pennsylvania all-state third team as a junior and to the Altoona Mirror first team as a sophomore and junior.
Coach Brent Gerwert's quote: "Noah has worked tremendously hard to get where he is, and all of his hard work has paid off with an athletic scholarship. Noah is a very good basketball player, but more importantly a better person. With the hard work that lies ahead of him in college, both on and off the floor, I am sure that Noah will rise to the occasion. I look forward to hearing of Noah's future successes on the basketball floor, as well as in the classroom and life.''
How I got my start playing basketball: "I started shooting baskets on the Little Tykes hoop at 2 years old with my mom and dad, and then at 6 I went to my first basketball camp at Notre Dame, where my godmother, Carol Owens, coaches women's basketball.''
Favorite colleges growing up: Indiana, Notre Dame
Other interests: Reading, writing creatively, watching movies, hanging out with friends, hunting, fishing and just being in the woods.
What getting to play in college means to me: "It means a great deal to me because earning an athletic scholarship and playing at the college level has been my goal since I was in elementary school. Because my mom and dad played college basketball, even coaching at their colleges after they were done playing, I was told how hard I would have to work to make this dream come true. I feel blessed my hard work had paid off, and I'm getting the chance to play college basketball. I know I have a lot of hard work ahead at Seton Hill, but I can't wait for the chance.''
Probable college major: English and Creative Writing
