Velma L. (Diehl) Estep, 82, Bellwood, died Saturday at Valley View Home after an extended illness.
She was born in Summerhill, the daughter of the late Earl and Gladys (Ritchey) Diehl.
She married Edgar R. Estep in 1976 in Altoona.

Surviving are her husband of Altoona; a daughter, Wanda Ward of Temple Hills, Md.; two sons: Dennis of Altoona and Steven of Bellwood; two sisters: Twilet Corle of Osterburg and Pearl Calderon of Altoona; a brother, Glen Diehl of Altoona; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell "Skip" Otto, and three brothers: Darrell R., Earl and Forrest Diehl.
Velma was a member of Tipton Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, with Pastor John Pine officiating.
Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Duncansville VFW Post 8724 in Velma's memory.
