Helen L. Billotte, 88, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at her home.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Stella A. Zeth and Roy J. Sell. She married Francis A. Billotte on July 17, 1945.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years; three children: Duane (Mary Elizabeth) Billotte of Johnstown, Janinne (Kevin) Lechene of Norton Shores, Mich. and Judy (Richard) Steckroth of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Ethan) Kabler, Michael Billotte, Joel Lechene, Nicole (Scott) Younker, Meredith (Nick) Gedraitis, Monica (Nathaniel) Simmons and Travis Steckroth; and a sister, Rita Bates of Johnstown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary C. Kyper.
Helen Louise was proud to be a 1942 graduate of Business Academics from Altoona Catholic High School, now Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. She was previously employed at the former William F. Gable Company in the accounting department and held similar positions at various other local businesses. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1946. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and church. She served as member of the Altar Society, Christian Mothers Association and Legion of Mary.
Helen Louise was dedicated to her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a skilled seamstress and avid reader and enjoyed crafting, crossword puzzles and following local sports teams.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Monsignor Stanley Carson. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
