Another Barack Obama term is scary. But it's why I'm depressed.
It wasn't about losing an election; it was about losing the American dream.
For the first time in our history, the asylum has been taken over by the inmates. People voted to get a handout instead of voting for the freedom to pursue their own success. People have embraced socialism rather than self-reliance and that's a problem. More then half of Americans are on some kind of government assistance.
During this election 52 percent of Americans preferred the freebie rather than self-sufficiency. They'd rather stand in line and wait for a hand out. They are too lazy to get up and be productive to serve their fellow man. Our society will continually elect one Obama-type president after another as long as the freebies keep coming.
The government that provides freebies steals the money from the producers. What will life be like for all countries including ours once there is no American spirit? We went from worst to first in 300 years. We clothed and fed the people of the world, saved the world's people from vicious dictators and we spread freedom throughout.
The election was not about Republicans versus Democrats. It was about responsibility versus dependency, renewal versus decline, voting for a representative republic versus dictatorship by administrative fiat.
Whenever this ideology gains and holds power in a country, it results in starvation, riots, prison camps, mass executions and other atrocities such as hyper inflation and economic decline never before seen here.
We're more prone to attacks from external forces that could make the attacks of 9/11 seem trivial.
I'm scared because I know what's coming. You need to be preparing and self-educating, securing your assets and your family. I hope and pray that I'm wrong, but history repeats itself.
What does it mean for your family if I'm right? Please start to take it seriously and pay attention to what's going on daily so at least you have the opportunity to protect and provide for your loved ones so you can keep them warm, fed and safe.
I've heard what many have said during "water cooler" debates. "This politician is corrupt" or "they are all corrupt." "They just do what ever they want, not what they preach while running for office, so why bother?" That mentality is the trap.
Politicians aren't the problem. Willful ignorance of our civic duty and current issues, and history is the problem. Our society being too lazy to be informed and active in our own affairs is the problem.
We failing to fulfill our civic duty to protect Washington from corruption and not holding politicians accountable is the problem. We can't stop corruption because of our complacency and willful ignorance.
We must shift priorities from watching "Glee" to finding out what our government is doing and why.
Elections have consequences. When the pain hits and you want to place blame, check the mirror. This country's founding is based on the individual. If individuals don't do their part, we fail. Next, we go from being a citizen to being a subject. That's exactly what the people of this blessed nation have become.
