Donald Pfahler, 64, Altoona, died Wednesday morning at Geisinger Medical Center.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Wayne W. and Corina (Butterbaugh) Pfahler. He married Lonnie J. Poorman, who survives at home.
He is survived by two daughters: Linda J. (Scott) Bennett and Becky A. (Curtis) Smith, both of Altoona; a son, Donald Jr. (Rose) of Newark, Del.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Robin Pfahler of Altoona.
Mr. Pfahler retired as a heavy equipment operator from Leonard S. Fiore Inc.
He loved his grandchildren, NASCAR and hunting.
Mr. Pfahler was a member of the Concordia Society and Newburg fire hall.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 4 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, Bellwood. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery.
